Deborah Smith, Vice President – Commercial & Retail Lending, has been a key member of First Resource Bank since 2006. Deborah values the culture, processes, people, and the fast-paced, fun organization of First Resource Bank. “I love commercial lending because I learn about small businesses – why and how people started them, how they run them and respond to challenges, and their future plans.”
Deborah learned from her dad, a veteran in banking for 40+ years, that to become successful in business, you must work hard, get to know your clients and do the right thing. Deborah holds a degree in Philosophy from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at UMN.
In her free time, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family at the cabin, skiing and mountain biking, walking and running with her dog, Doc, reading, sampling craft beer and checking out live music.
