There's Big Change Coming...
For our valued customers that were previously with Lake Area Bank we will soon begin the final steps to convert all of your banking accounts, digital banking accounts, and debit/ATM cards over to the First Resource Bank systems. There is a lot you need to know about this upcoming transition. Please see the information below and download the full brochure located at the bottom of the page.
As part of our commitment to provide you with the best and most current banking experience, we are pleased to announce that we are converting our entire core banking system. This system will enhance and improve your banking experience with us, and keep us on the cutting edge of banking technology – all to better serve your needs today and into the future.
Important Timeline & To-Do List
☐ Download or print statements and check images that may be needed for 2022 tax purposes.
☐ Make note of any online banking recurring transfers (including loan payments) that you have established (these will
need to be reestablished on or after April 17). Recurring transfers we set up at the bank will continue.
☐ Within Bill Pay, make sure all payee information is correct and complete, and delete any outdated payees.
☐ Schedule any bill payments by Friday, April 7, before 5:00 PM. Any payments scheduled after April 14 will not be
processed. These payments will need to be reset up in the new bill payment system on Monday, April 17. Please plan
accordingly to avoid late penalties.
☐ Make a note of all bill payments scheduled before April 14. We anticipate these to transfer over without issue but
encourage you to confirm once the new system is live.
☐ Commercial Bill Pay clients: Print off payee information and history if needed. You will need to re-enroll in Bill Pay and
establish the payee information on April 17.
☐ Businesses, make note of user and cash management settings for verification in the new system.
Monday, April 17
☐ Activate your new First Resource Bank Debit Card by calling (877) 965-3344. You can also now destroy your Lake Area
Bank Debit or ATM Card.
☐ New digital banking will be available by 8:00 AM. Consumer clients refer to page 2. Commercial clients refer to page 8.
☐ Reaccept e-sign Terms and Conditions and re-enroll in e-statements. Click Documents with in the online banking to
reaccept and re-enroll.
☐ Download new mobile app (see instructions on page 9).
☐ Set up online banking recurring internal transfers/loan payments within online banking. Recurring transfers we set up at
the bank will continue.
☐ Confirm Bill Pay recurring payments have been transferred correctly. Re-enroll or enroll in eBill if desired.
☐ Set up account nicknames, custom alerts, and any other settings you prefer. Some account alerts will not transfer to the
☐ Commercial administrators can log in to the new platform for the first time and verify sub-users, cash management
settings, and ACH template information.
Monday, April 10
Bill Pay service will be unavailable starting at 8:00 AM.
Thursday, April 13
TransferNow Payments need to be submitted by 2:00 PM.
Online ACH Origination and Same Day ACH Batches (commercial clients) and outgoing wires need to be submitted by 2:00 PM.
Last day to enter new ACH Batches until Monday, April 17. Must be submitted by 2:00 PM.
Friday, April 14
Mobile banking will be unavailable starting at 4:00 PM.
Consumer Online Banking will be unavailable from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
Commercial Online Banking and Remote Deposit Capture will be unavailable starting at 4:00 PM.
Clients who currently have a Lake Area Bank debit card will receive a new First Resource Bank debit card
to replace your Lake Area Bank debit card. New cards should arrive at the beginning of April. However, your
new card will not work until Monday, April 17.
• You will need to use your Lake Area Bank debit card until Monday, April 17.
• Current daily transaction limits on your card will be changed temporarily from Thursday, April 13 – Monday, April 17
(ATM withdrawal $300 and Point of Sale [POS] $1,000).
• As of Monday, April 17, your new First Resource Bank debit card limit will be:
» Consumer – ATM withdrawal $500 and Point of Sale (POS) $2,500
» Commercial – ATM withdrawal $0 and Point of Sale (POS) $2,500
• Balance inquiries at ATMs will not be available from Thursday, April 13 – Monday, April 17.
• During the conversion weekend, there may be times your ATM receipts will not show an updated balance. ATM receipts
will display your accurate balance again by the end of the day on Monday, April 17, 2023.
• To activate your new First Resource Bank and set a pin, please call 877-965-3344 on or after April 17. Please note if you
